Quite right. There are viable alternatives that have been ignored because petroleum is so "easy". Rather than continuing to plunder and pollute Mother Earth, we should focus on other ways of obtaining energy.

I wonder if the rumours about oil companies buying electric car plans and designs are true. I think Toyota released a petrol/electric car that is supposed to be a lot more fuel efficient, and as for the rumour, it makes sense because once we run out of petrol, they can move onto electric cars.
However, I do not claim the rumour is true; all I know that it is a *rumour*. Please keep this in consideration.
