Disappearing Vendor...

I was harvesting my hive, which is located next to my vendor. THe bees came out and the vendor went poof, but came back in a bit.

How can one move hives that have been set?

Once a hive is set you have to completely harvest it and then try to harvest again and say yes to the "Do you wish to destroy this" question.
