Consider yourself savvy with fancy Tolkien elf-speak? Well, I'd appreciate a little help constructing a short bit of prose.

Can't exactly say why here on the Forums, but it's for a good (and personal! :P) cause, has nothing to do with WoD, and I'd be very appreciative if anyone DOES know how to construct phrases (word-lists are abundant) of elven, to PM me or drop a message here on this thread.

Thanks,

-M

I used to be pretty good with it but it all depends how complex you get and it HAS been years since I dabbled extensively in it. Email me!

Computer translators like those ones don't handle stuff like grammar though, only single words.

There are abundant resources out there but it takes a lot of study/work if you want to do it right. Simple translators are nice for quick, off the cuff remarks but imagine facing Elrond and speaking with short bursts of trite reponses. He'd just feed you to the orcs.

Yo, Elrond 'n me cud tangle. He lay some heavy stuff onna me an' I'd whap him upside da head wif Glammerding or wotever dat sharp, pointy thing is a-called. An' if he dont like it ahd just shove a hobbit up whar the sun dont shine an' see wot he t'inks o' dat.
