I asked this before when i first started playing here but has any one beside me and my uncle ever heard of amtgard. http://amtgard.com:8080

Amtgard is a medieval fantasy Live Action Roleplaying game (LARP for short) in which you become a part of the adventure. Instead of wielding paper and dice as in traditional roleplaying, you carry your sword and shield, your axe and bow, or whatever suits your fancy. Now don't worry, the Swords, Axes or any weapons for that matter are not real. They are recreation weapons safely padded with foam. What sets Amtgard apart from other LARP's is our choice of classes that you may play. Assassin, Barbarian, Monk, and Warrior are to name a few. Each has it's own abilities and drawbacks that make each class unique. Amtgard also has four magic using classes; Bard, Druid, Healer, and Wizard. Each class has it's own spells to choose from and they are usually in the form of a strip of cloth to indicate that an item or person is enchanted, or a padded "ball" that you would throw at your target. The Barony of Gryphon's Perch, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, is just one of the many groups that form Amtgard. Along with the Baronies, there are Shires, Duchies and even Kingdoms that make up Amtgard as a whole. Many of the other Amtgard chapters are located throughout the United States. Amtgard even has chapters in Canada, Norway, and Germany as well. It is realy fun I enjoy it very much.

If you want give me your adress/state/country whatever and i can probly find a place for you to play around you.

Fun, fun, fun, and yes, you do get hurt. Assasin class all the way. Although it's really annoying when you are up against someone with a large shield that comes up to their chin, and then they complain when you accidently hit them in the head or backstab them.

Besides that though, its lots of fun. But yeah I'm part of the shire(I think) of Greensboro.

What sort of weapons do you usually fight with?
I usually go with a double bladed short sword(Really good for blocking) and small throwing weapons.
