I think its something ive done not timing. I just tried to log on but got the unverified account message yet again. Is the shard up at this time?

I did some further checking.

When someone connects with wrong encryption, the logs have a message like this:

When someone has the correct encryption, attempts to log in and fails, the logs have a message like this:

I checked the server logs around the time of your post, and there are no attempts to log in to your account or even attempts with the wrong encryption. This means your client is trying to connect to the wrong server.

Please verify, what exe file are you using? Are you connecting through the nwodclient I provided? Did you copy the login.wod file I provided?

EDIT: Also, the file I sent you is a login.zip file. You said in that other post that you "put" the file I sent you into the UO folder. You have to unzip the login.zip file, and you will get a login.wod file. Copy the login.wod to the UO folder.

*feels stupid* totally was trying to use the wrong client. Ill give it a try with that one today

Now when i try to open the nwodclient i just get this error:

Failed to open 'map0.mul' using a maximum install......blah blah blah. Should i just reinstall?

You should be running it as a normal user, not administrator. Also, nwodclient should reside in your UO folder.

Another possibility is... recently, EA made a huge update to the client, rearranging the file structure, and they updated the installer on the UO page. I noticed that a few days ago and changed the link to point to the specific version we are meant to use in WoD. If you downloaded the client before I changed the link, there is a possibility that you downloaded the new client with the changed file structure.

Please run the normal client.exe and verify that the version displayed in the login screen is 7.0.15.1. If you have a different version, please verify the name of the installer you downloaded, it should be named UOClassicSetup_7_0_15_1.exe

If you have a different installer, check the post on the general forum for the correct installer.
