resolution

Post by Thomas Duklain » Tue Jul 26, 2011 11:14 pm

So I've been scouring the internet for ways to zoom or increase the size of the window. I've had to settle for just going fullscreen which is fine but I like being able to pop over to UOAM or something else without having to alt+enter out of UO then back in. I've started playing in a maximized window but damn it's so small I only really like doing that when I'm crafting or something. Anyway, I've seen mention of 3rd party programs that change something having to do with resolution but I haven't been able to find any. So, does anyone have a clue if it's possible or not?

aye, IRIS is swell, for lack of a better word.
If we were to use a newer client, 4.x or better we could use Razor, which I believe lets you tweak the window size

Once upon a time, I believe the nvida drivers used to have an option to have custom zoom settings for specific applications, sadly it doesn't seem to be in the current incarnation.

Ok, if I find UO Iris and get it working are we allowed to use it in WoD?

We used to be able to, back in the day, as it didn't effect gameplay.

It says it requires Mondain's Legacy for 3d. I don't want 3d but can we use ML for WoD? I have AoS and Gold I can try it with either of those.

I don't remember the specifics... I just remember using it once... I even remember where I was :D (the SE bridge out of Brit)

Ok, I guess sadly we can't use this. It doesn't work with encrypted clients and not for client version below 4.0.0.

No, currently you can only use a 2.x client with WoD to maintain the encryption. If I can find enough parts I'll put together a test box that Laephis can throw a clone of the server on to test out additional clients. If he is interested of course. :) We all have jobs too! :(
