Scissors and magic clothing

Found out I needed 6 bandages more than a magic tacs tunic. Can this be prevented by owning items or do scissors turn any cloth into bandages?

Looks like the scripts have no owner checking, so no, the scissors will turn any clothes into bandages.
I'm familiar with the acacia. I know how immortality is achieved.
