Pure warrior
Pure warrior
I was wondering what's the best skill set for a pure fighter my main char. Mal uses magery as a secondary I just want all warrior skills and where to use them. I figure asking players is best due to exp. Thanks

Re: Pure warrior
Oh and is their a certain race that is better to use? I haven't made a new toon in years

Re: Pure warrior
For a pure warrior my set up would be something like this.
Primes:
Swords, maces, or fencing
Tactics (could switch with magic resist to be more tanky)
Parry
Secondary
Archery
Healing
Anatomy
Complimentary Skill
Magic Resist

Re: Pure warrior
Np. That is for a more tanky warrior. For a max damage you would want all of those skills but make sure your primes are weapon skill, tactics, and anatomy. With tactics and anatomy primed your critical hit chance and critical hit damage end up pretty high. You could also drop parry altogether and use a 2 handed. A good spec for a pure damage warrior would be something like this.
Primes:
Swords (this is important and I'll get to why)
Tactics
Anatomy
Secondary
Healing
Poison
Archery
Complimentary Skill
Magic Resist
Trade skill
Lumberjack
As for the Swords and Lumberjack as a trade skill if this server is set up like osi (would need to ask Agata to verify with the scripts) when you fight with an axe which requires Swords you get a damage bonus determined by your Lumberjacking. At gm Lumberjacking you have a 10% chance to hit 100% more damage. So statistically you would end up hitting double damage every 10th hit, this is not even factoring in your critical chance increase and damage from tactics and anatomy.

Re: Pure warrior
Plus with +10-20 in poison buffs you can easily use deadly poison potions which hurt a lot!
Re: Pure warrior
Would someone mind explaining how complimentary skills work? Still not sure what those do/how they work.
Re: Pure warrior
Compliment skill is a skill that goes to 90, separate from your primes and secondaries. The skills that it can be vary depending on your primaries. If you choose mage skills for your primaries you'll get mainly mage skills as compliments, with warrior skills you'll get warrior skills as compliments, there are certain skills that kinda go both ways that are on there often, like anatomy, healing, magic resist, etc. Really right now the only reliable way to see what they will be is to plug in the specs you want and check it out.
Re: Pure warrior
Many overlook the gargoyles' power as a warrior. If you go with Throwing, you have a character with both melee and ranged attacks AND shields, and moving at mounted speed. If you die, you can res and will have your newbie throwing weapon and shield immediately available to attempt to recover your stuff. Specs could be:
Primaries: Throwing, Tactics, Parry
Secondaries: Anatomy, Magic Resist, Magery
Complementary: Healing

I'm familiar with the acacia. I know how immortality is achieved.
Re: Pure warrior
Can we change races or would a whole new character need to be made?
