Stuck again. Cannot make potions.

Pinkwater is a master alchemist, but I'm doing something wrong. I want to make greater heal potions. I have bottles, ginseng and a mortar. When I click on mortar I get a target, but when I point at the ginseng it says "you can't make anything". What am I missing?

Alchemical reagents, bottles, and tools must all be in your main pack in order for it to work.
