Changes for April 2002

4-28-2

  • Added (or more accurately moved from .spec) the options for leaving behind an NPC clone when you log off to the .options menu
  • You can now set up to 10 different messages that your NPC clone will use (he'll chose a random one each time.) You can set any number of them you want - you don't have to set all 10
  • There's also a check box there that has to be turned on to leave behind an NPC clone (so that you can turn the clone off without having to erase all your messages.) You have to have at least one message set for the checkbox to work, though

4-27-2

  • 'Sell all' will no longer sell containers with items in them (though empty containers will work)
  • Using detect hidden inside of your house will still automatically check the entire house for intruders, but you'll now also get a targetting cursor like normal

4-23-2

  • Archery buttes are fixed

4-21-2

  • Manastones can now transfer magic from one shield to another. Like other types of armor, the resulting shield retains the AR value and strength requirements of the magic shield that was used, except in the case of transfering to an order and chaos shield, in which case the resulting shield has the AR and strength requirements of a normal virtue shield
  • Added bone armor to the list of items that do not need to be exceptional in order to have magic properties transfered to them via manastone.
  • Added a help button to the options menu. Pressing it gives a short description of the options available on your current page. Also fixed a good number of bugs

4-20-2

  • Rewrote the .options menu. Its not really all that much different, but it should be a LOT easier to add stuff to it now
  • Added a few 'sell bag' options to the .options menu. Some merchants may not learn about them until after a server restart.

4-19-2

  • Bug fix: Creating obsidian and porcelain creatures has both a tinkering and a magery skillcheck, instead of 2 magery skillchecks

4-17-2

  • Humuc-thingies can now be told to stop and will actually do so. For a while, at least. They have short attention spans. If you log out and back in, they definitely will start following you again, but that's intentional (so you can't lose them.)
  • Humuc-thingies should be somewhat less chatty in crowds

4-13-2

  • Rapiers can again be made by blacksmiths
  • Fixes a few bugs/quirks introduced with the previous changes to Stinging Swarm

4-10-2

  • Added '.sort ammo', which sorts all arrows and bolts you have into the selected bag
  • Added '.sort potions', which sorts all stackable potions you have into the selected bag. Non-stackable potions will not be affected by this

4-9-2

  • Tweaked NPC firebreathing damage
  • Swarms of bees will (sometimes) stop following you if you run away. How long they'll follow is heavily influenced by the origin of the bees - bees summoned by a druid will follow you a lot further than 'natural' bees

4-6-2

  • You can now plant farmplants within your house lockdown area, even if its not farmland. Doing so takes 1 house lockdown per plant, though.
  • A number of bug fixes with housing, including fixing the lower command

4-4-2

  • Fixed a bug that would sometimes cause a 'mixup' between alchemy and anatomy
  • Updated the WoD 094 scripts (in the files section.)

4-2-2

  • Fixed a few bugs with yesterday's housing update
  • Fixed a bug with undead mounts
  • Several significant speed optimizations that should help keep the server running smoothly
  • .fix no longer works in other player's housing

4-1-2

  • Major rewrite to housing - let me know if you find any bugs
  • New housing feature: Display cases
  • To set a container as a display case, say "I wish to display this". To remove it, say "I wish to remove this from display" (or "I wish to display this" will work, too) (Virtually) any container can be used as a display case
  • Only containers can be a display case, and you can only have a maximum of 20 items in the container, and no items in sub-containers
  • Items that are in display cases cannot (should not) be movable or removable. Its also not possible (or shouldn't be possible) to put items into the display case
  • Whether an item is usable while in a display case is the same as if the item is usable while locked down. Books can be used, food and drinks can't. Other items you'll have to test yourself.
  • A display case uses 1 lockdown, regardless of how many items are inside of it.
