Changes for December 2001
12-26-1
- Fixed some bugs with the naming of alcholic beverages. Also changed the way that naming works a bit:
The type of beverage that is in the bottle will appear after the rest of the name in parenthesis. The
"a bottle of" or "a jug of" will be added as appropriate before the name that you entered. If you did
not enter a name, the products name will appear as normal ("a bottle of liquor")
Example: You want to make a brand of liquor named Smokey's Moonshine. When asked for a name, you
would enter "Smokey's Moonshine". When you make the product, its name would appear as: "a bottle of
Smokey's Moonshine (liquor)".
- Mage staves are now classified correctly as wooden weapons (meaning you can repair them.)
12-25-1
- Nerry Christmas!
- When you next log in, the first character that you log in with will find 2 Christmas packages in
their backpack - one red, one green. When double clicked, each one will allow you to select one
Christmas present from a list.
- If you don't open the packages by the beginning of January or so, they'll disappear at the same
time as the Christmas trees (if you open them, though, the items inside won't disappear.)
12-23-1
- Thanks to Augur Wildwood, brewing is now in. It requires the cooking skill
- When you make a brewing product, you can enter a name for it
- You can find the assorted brewing recipes in the normal cookbook (near the back)
- In order to increase misery and suffering during the holidays here in Britannia, fruitcakes
have also been added to items that can be made. Again, check a cookbook for the recipe
- When you log in, you'll find 5 snowballs in your backpack. When used, they can be used to smack
other players upside the head. After you use one, it'll reappear in your backpack after about a minute.
There's also a simple scoring mechanism - +1 point for every time you hit someone, -1 point every time
you get hit. Scores are reset when the server is
- The WoD scripts have been updated
12-2-1
- Decreased the amount of money that merchants pay for most magic scrolls
- You can now get multiple kindlings when you carve kindling from a tree based on your
lumberjacking skill. Also, carving kindling now has a distance check, can cause trees to run out of wood,
and should no longer destroy fruit trees.
- Items that get unequipped when you double click another item will now go into the bag that you
double clicked the original item in.
