Changes for November 2001
11-30-1
- .msg now has a new (optional) interface. By default, .msg uses the new interface. To go back to
the old style of .msg, use ".msg style". Using it multiple times will toggle styles
- The new style features the ability to have multiple conversations open at once. You can move
the gump around by using the arrow keys located on the gump (moving it around by dragging it WILL NOT
save the position and it will return back to its original location after you send the next message.)
You can also play normally while leaving the conversation gump open. The downside is that, to send
a message, you must manually click in the text box, enter your message, and press the "Okay" button.
Basically, both styles suck in their own way, but its the best that I can do. Pick the one that sucks
less for you. :)
- .reply uses the same gump style as what you selected with .msg
- Henchmen in guard mode will now switch into normal mode (hide while their master is offline) if they
are being attacked by an opponent they can't reach. Previously the henchman script would sometimes go
runaway in this circumstance and lag the server.
- Merchants will no longer purchase empty bottles. The price that merchants sell bottles for has
also been increased, and the weight decreased.
11-28-1
- Added 'best guess' capabilities to .msg (and several other dot commands, where appropriate.)
What that means is that you may be able to type partial names and still have it find the correct
player. If you type ".msg john", it will first try to find a player who's exact name is john.
Failing that, it will try to find ANY player with 'john' in their name. If there's more than one
(John Smith and Bob Johnson, for example), it will select the first one in the .online list.
- Revamped a good number of dot commands to try to make them a little bit more user friendly.
Added "help" as an option for a lot of dot commands (".msg help")
- Removed .inventory. Use .sort
11-27-1
- Scissors can now only cut up clothing that is inside of your backpack
- If you are the highest bidder on an item up for sale on the auctioneer, you can now increase
your bid on that item. You must bid more than your original bid - you cannot decrease your bid.
11-25-1
- When double-clicked, most weapons and armors will now equip themselves
- Skinning knives and newbie daggers are specifically excluded from this so that you
can more easily use them to skin creatures
11-6-1
- Fixed the [young] status on everyone
11-5-1
- After a few days filled with anguished, WoD-withdrawl screams, we're back up!
- Due to some data lost in the crash, you'll have to reset your autoheal settings
(with .options)
