Changes for May2001
5-31-1
The check of whether you have enough skill to attempt to lockpick a chest now happens earlier.
Fixed The cross-dressing NPC problem. I'm sure it'll come back eventually, though. It always does.
When you go to place a vendor, it will now ask you to select a gender before it asks for a name.
Selecting a random gender will skip asking you for a name, and selecting a gender but a random name
should now give a gender-appropriate random name.
You can no longer clean raw reagents that are locked down.
Merchants will no longer purchase items that have been .own'ed, even if the owner's mark is later removed
(Like they want it after you've scratched your name out...) This does not affect items that have already been
.own'ed, only ones that are .own'ed from this point on.
5-27-1
NPC merchants will no longer buy obsidian or iron ingots. They will now buy hides of all
colors (but don't really pay all that well for them.)
Fixed a lot of bugs with henchmen in training mode.
5-20-1
Players and henchmen now appear as a seperate selection on the tracking menu.
Updated the WoD script release (located in the files section)
5-19-1
Hmm, kind of been a while since I updated this page, hasn't it? I have gotten quite a bit done since
the last update, just nothing important enough to bother writting up on. Lots and lots of bug fixes, plus
some random seer stuff. Finally have some changes worth mentioning, though. :)
Magic scrolls are now colored (or at least most of them are.) I tried to make the colors have something
to do with the effect of the spell (yellow = heal, red/orange = fire spell, etc.) but that's not necessarily
always true. The basic idea was to make the scrolls easier to tell apart in the heat of battle. There's
probably a lot of scrolls that are the old color, but you should be able to fix that yourself by setting
them on the ground and .grab'ing them.
Removing an item from a corpse by picking it up now gives a *yoink* similar to .grab.
Changes to campfires: The range in which the campfire is disturbed by creatures in war mode has
been increased, so you'll have to stay further away from battles now. Players or NPCs entering or leaving
the camping area no longer disturb the campfire (assuming they're not in war mode.) The annoying 'You're
already camping' thing should be fixed.
Quite a few AI enhancements. *evil grin*
5-5-1
Fixed a problem with smelting that would cause the ingots/glass blocks to not appear. Actually, its
not really fixed, but it does now tell your backpack is full and doesn't eat up the ore.
Fixed a problem getting to the second floor of the 2 story log cabin houses.Back to Recent Changes |
