I dont know if you follow me at all Atei... Its not the fact that archery isnt powerful enough, just the fact that the game is slanted against archers, in the fact that there are only 4 different types of bow...as opposed to 17 swords weps, 17 maces weps and 8 fencing weps. There really doesnt have to be any difference in damage, just the fact that good bows are extremely rare.

Sure this could be easily done...with the fact that bows cant be dyed, to differenciate, just change the colour.

For example - A composite bow for instance could just be copper colour, a daemon bow could be rubysteel, a water bow could be bluesteel, a druid bow could be green and a necro bow could be black. Any difference in them is would just be superficial, there is no difference between one handed swords, maces or fencing weapons... So why should there be with archery weapons?

I understood (and agree) with what you're saying Vaie--I was just throwing out some options. :D

As for the Diablo 2 crossover, I don't play that game, so I didn't know that.

Sweety nothing is as good as Ultima, in my opinion.

Diablo 2 and Ultima Online are not the same genre.

Diablo 2 is an Action RPG (emphasis on the action, not on the RPG) and UO is a MMORPG: Diablo 2 players would die if they had to carry food, do anything but hunt massive waves of spawn and most importantly; Diablo 2 has a beginning, a middle and an end. It might be cyclical (and potentially go on forever), but there are those clear-cut definitions.

Arguably, WoD has an "end" too, but by reason of this argument, it's not as nearly clear cut or defined (and besides, there's no such thing as an 'infinite' game that's playable infinitely).

i agree with the more for archery even if an archer could poison his/hers arrows and bolts would be a
perfect solution at least to me anyway.

That would be too good I think. Id be happy just with a few more different types of bow.

More archery weapons would be tough, unless you could throw daggers orrr...brooms.
