While doing treasure maps I located another of their hiding spots. They hide on the beach on the north end of Isle of Avatar(Fire Island)

I recently was on a guard quest, i gated to the compassion shrine. I was ambushed. I halted the guard quest for a bit and took out a good chunk of sand dwellers. Along with some nasty slimes!

Hmmm ... I like to wander around Fire Island on occasion (lived there for over 2 yrs on OSI). I'll have to check out the beachfronts. Thanks for the headsup Zareena

One other strategy point: if you have a Virtue Guard in your midst, please let them lead your assault. The sand slimes are really good (or is it bad?) at throwing acid and doing damage. Virtue Guard shields protect them from this acid.

Could be, I scouted around a day or so ago and didn't find any s of brit, in nujel'm, trinsic, magincia...no where.
They really aren't too tough unless I've just missed some horrendous spawns. At Nujel'm and Magincia there were hordes but steady, slow advancement through the ranks took them out with little personal danger. The Shabooli fort is a lot tougher.

I just took out a group of maybe 25 sand dweller near Trinsic docks (How do these guys manage to fit so many in such small areas?). Along were some Sand Dweller Brutes, which I think are a new type (at least for me). They are melee fighters, not too tough but highlight as red. Archers are tougher in melee than they are.
