stat gains getting slower

All seemed well with my new toon.Did some vendor quests and did some hunting too. Stat gains were constantly going up like they should.A few days or so went by and then I only needed 10 more stat points total all dex points.I played all day,hunting at different locations and doing some vendor quests.Nothing, not even one point on stat gain.Should I go to a completely different place to hunt or does the stat process slow down that much.I remember before it took about a week to stat up totally.

Stat gains do slow down as you go higher. Also there is luck involved.
